Province Supports Industry at Hospitality Trade Show

first_img This year, Nova Scotia will again be the host of ApEx, AtlanticCanada’s largest trade show targeting Canada’s hotel, restaurantand institutional food service markets. The trade show takesplace from Sunday, April 18 to Tuesday, April 20 at ExhibitionPark in Halifax. “ApEx gives local companies the opportunity to promote and selltheir products to industry buyers from across the country,” saidAgriculture and Fisheries Minister Chris d’Entremont. “Itsuccessfully brings together food service buyers and leadingsuppliers.” Each year, the province sponsors the registration of up to sixlocal food and beverage producing businesses, allowing companiesto participate that may not have otherwise been able. Of the 350exhibitors, more than 20 Nova Scotia companies will be presentshowcasing agriculture, seafood and beverage products. The eventwill also feature Atlantic Canada’s most innovative and modernfood service equipment available to industry. Since it began in 1954, the show’s attendance has increased bymore than 50 per cent, with more than 3,000 industryprofessionals attending last year. Increased participation isexpected to continue.
