We now have High School softball players driving on that road daily for practices and more youth ball teams beginning practices out there. Luckily this was a minor accident, but hopefully the city will go out there and get this problem fixed before a more serious accident happens. There are way too many kids going up and down it, who don’t know how to drive on loose gravel. The increase in traffic as the facilities are getting busier and busier, it would be a nice to have a new road. Also, consider that facility and road are sometimes the only things many visitors see about Wellington when attending carting or ball games. Anyway why can’t County and City work together and split the cost and get her done. Also black top that pot hole street I think it is (plum). Or I guess they City/County is waiting for some one to die. I agree the road needs to be resurfaced because that is all of Wellington some people see and it would complement that nice facility. As for driving on a wash board road one can safely negotiate it as long as you’re not driving like a knuckle head and have half a clue how to drive in rural areas. The roads should be kept up so they are safe for anyone to drive on. That road is highly traveled Report Reply 0 replies · active 333 weeks ago -3 Vote up Vote down Pokesalad · 333 weeks ago Not sure how accurate this is but could it be that the road is grated that way to prevent speeding like speed bumps…? It does force the driver to slow down or at least it did me. However, please keep up on it throughout the year, especially throughout the ball season when it’s heavily traveled. A proactive approach would be appreciated and not let it get to the condition it was. Maybe Wellington’s finest can spend a few evening’s a week out there enforcing the speed limit along with the County’s finest.
